Our story

While pregnant with my son Ambrose, I was searching for a personalised necklace that would hold my children's initials. I had always loved this style of jewellery but couldn't find what I was after and it was so frustrating!

After a few months of searching ,I thought, why don’t I design a piece myself? That's exactly what I did. I set up my business whilst I was pregnant with my son, had a 2 1/2 year old and had no jewellery making skills or experience whatsoever.

I researched materials, suppliers, how to stamp and what stamps to use.

The first piece I created was the Valencia Necklace, named after my little babe.

After receiving many compliments and questions from friends and family asking where I had purchased it from, I was super proud to say I had made it myself and that's when V and Me Custom Designs was born.

I created an Instagram account and began posting photos of the pieces I had already made.

Nearly 2 years later here I am, my small business is growing organically and I have the most supportive and lovely community who I call my V and Me Fam.

I found that the love of personalised jewellery did not just lie with me but with many women I met and continue to meet every day. I receive messages and emails almost everyday from women asking me how I started my business.

My advice to them is always the same: ask for help when you need it and don't be afraid to put your ideas out there. We choose our path in life so why wouldn't you choose one that makes you a happy?

I did, and I haven't looked back.

I worked late into the night, every night. I chose how hard to work and how far to push myself.

Countless early mornings, late nights, tears and fears have and continue to fuel my passion for this little business I started out of a small room in our home nearly 2 years ago.  I love to create beautiful pieces that can be treasured for years.  

The majority of the collection is hand made to order. This means that each piece is unique and made especially for you. With the choice of dates, names, initials or a message that is special to you, you are sure to stand out with your custom piece. It truly is the most beautiful way to have your loved ones with you always.

I recently launched an engraving option for my customers so they can choose between having their pieces personalised by hand stamping or engraving.

I am excited for what I have planned for this year, for the many new designs in the works and to continue making the most beautiful, handmade, fine keepsake jewellery.
